I was surprised how easily it went, just one of those times when everything just works I guess.

I expect that TinyERP/OpenERP will need a lot of user config and be quiet tedious.

It always is with any new ERP application, but PhreeBooks has a lot of EXCELLENT help in the program itself, and 'feels' very smooth.

I think it has a great future.

Oddly when working with WebERP, I feel as tho an accountant is looking over my shoulder, and saying 'no, not allowed! do this first ...' It's strangely comforting :)

The ability to add fields to the parts database easily, exists in both PhreeBooks and WebERP/EdgeERP. Adding fields via the application, and not the database is a layer of abstraction I welcome.

You need bin numbers, but as I only sell about 40 wifi parts, and most of then are in boxes, I don't need bin numbers. What I need is volume or package dimensions. Fortunately with the above apps, we can each easily add what we need.

At the moment, I'm seeing WebERP as hard to use, but controlled by a strict accountant standing behind me, watching my every move. Phreebooks as easy to use, and a friendly designer with good accounting knowledge in the next room. TinyERP as colorful, complex and interesting but only talks to me in French. When I ask it what should I do, it throws up its hands and says, in halting English "whatever you like!; why should I care, you silly Australian".
