Do you mean change the permission?
I have:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  Â10 Oct 28 20:24 /usr/bin/perl -> perl5.12.2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 10256 Oct 28 20:24 /usr/bin/perl5.12.2

What version are you running?

No, I didn't change the permissions. I opened each script with an editor and added -X after /user/bin/perl. I'm running version 2.8.30 with the ledger123 enhancements.

If I remember correctly there were bug reports filed. The problem seemed to be with some versions of perl in some distributions of Linux but not all. It happened to me when I upgraded to opensuse 11.3 and may be fixed by now. I haven't had time to check it out.
