Drawing Account Re: Yearend Transactions

Hi Chris,

I'm puzzled by the "drawing account" in this discussion.

My English -> Dutch dictionary states: drawing account = checking account.
Well that can't be true in this context.

So, what is a drawing account?
Is it a typical American accounting term?
