I'm sorry Chris.. I'm not clear what you mean.

If you mean <Reports/ChartOfAccounts>, this is a function that I use constantly
and would not like to see it go unless replaced with something equally easy to use.

Ok, from Chart of Accounts, click through the account, select some dates, etc.

Or do the same from the trial balance.

That list of transactions is what I am looking at replacing.

Speaking personally....

I use the Reports/ChartOfAccounts etc constantly and would be sorry to see it go. In fact, it would be rare that I would do bookkeeping work and NOT use this part of the system in some way.

I like that I can get an overview of all accounts, then select a range of transactions by date for a particular account.

Filtering by account is fine so long as you can remember all your account numbers (I can't).

I'm sure it's a pain to maintain, but the more different ways I can look at the database (without going directly by psql etc), the easier and more powerful the system is to use.

I hope I'm not answering the wrong question btw ;-)

regards,

David.

What exactly do you mean by "account no.filter to transactions"?

The GL report in 1.2 will only show either classes of accounts
(assets, equity, etc) or full transactions.

In 1.3, you can use it to show transactions from the specific accounts.

Does this make more sense?
