It could be handled as a single entry in the GL but of course it would be more
comfortable per invoice, automatically. The price normally includes this tax. 

My company does not use "Simples" which is a tax for smaller companies that operate
under this rule but I have a new customer that needs this. The reality is that it is
unusual for them to hit the first cut off point but if they do (tracked manually) they
would go into the setup and change the rate  To help with that I was thinking of
showing the total invoice value for the current month on the invoice screen. But what
I really need is to either define a tax with variable rates according to a rule OR to
have a rule to enable or disable a tax. In other words, it would be good enough for me
to have say 3 "simples" taxes with different rates but I need a way for the system to
use the right one according to a rule which in my case is the total of the month.
