Well, instead of posting a long explanation to the list, have a look
at these slides I made:

The talk concentrates mostly on Asterisk integration, but it does touch
on the RT and Ledger-SMB integration.

Basically, when RT opens up, there's a note if there are any overdue
invoices.  Also, in SugarCRM, you can see invoice history and recent
RT tickets.
