I'm getting this message after upgrading to ubuntu 12.04

defined(%hash) is deprecated at bin/io.pl line 1683.
(Maybe you should just omit the defined()?)



Yes, I know I have to upgrade and soon.. but in the meantime can I
safely ignore these messages? Or am I likely to stuff up the DB
