Re: Installation on Windows

Module::Install seemed to go all right

I just tried gmake install and got some action, but I seem to have a problem with LaTex and TcLink:

In the middle of the gmake process, messages such as

Finally at the end was the message:

I will start looking into installing latex. Âthis whole installation is from the ground up, and a pilot run before I install this on other machines.

Please let me know if you have any (more) ideas

When did this occur? ÂWhen installing Module::Install?

Vanilla and Strawberry Perl come with both gmake and dmake, I think.

If Module::Install installed, try using gmake instead of make with
LedgerSMB (and if that fails, try dmake).

I would recommend against running "make install" on LedgerSMB itself
because this will copy everything into the LIBPERL directory and
complicate support in the future.
