Just as a note, I don't know what the status of LX-Office is on this
but we've been putting a fair bit of work into this process in
LedgerSMB.

For example, 1.2 had a bunch of fixes for product returns and COGS
calculation.  1.3 makes the workflow for returns a bit easier.
