One of the things I wanted to work on awhile ago was the situation where
two organizations ran sql-ledger/ledger-smb... issuing invoices which
must be hand-entered in as purchase orders really seemed
dumb. Especially when both organizations were run by me.
I started looking into what standards existed relating to electronic
invoices, and discovered that that was Ross Perot's company... The
specification is "EBXML", and there is some stuff, but it's all very
complex, and most of it uses bits of XMLRPC, so it has to be online.
I mention all of this because, perhaps there are others who might want
to work on such a thing.
