1.3.43-rc3 released

Hi;

This rc makes a few extra changes beyond the proximal ones found by Michael.  It should be a little easier to test.

I am going to give it a few more days and hope to be able to add some extra Travis-CI tests in a branch to keep these problems from happening again.
