To be honest, I *much* prefer mercurial to git. And one of the big selling points on my side is that subversion now for the most part just works against a github repository, so a framework which provides first-rate support for svn, mercurial, and git to he repositories is very helpful.This is not to the place to go into the reasons for my preference, but I will say that, assuming we move, svn will still be supported, and those looking for a dvcs with easy entry from svn may want to check out Mercurial. The major reason for the likely move is better support for a wider range of vcs tools.
