What's the path from SQL-Ledger 2.8.latest to LSMB 1.4? I still haven't
managed to get off SL.

I have an upgrade script for upgrading SQL-Ledger 2.8 to LedgerSMB 1.4. I haven't fully tested it (last successful upgrade was to 1.3). It may need a little support, but it should be doable.
