A clone button will work for repeating all/portion of an invoice and I
think the current system does something similar.

You may also be thinking of a "Reverse Invoice" type button that would
create a credit note against the original invoice. Ideally the credit
note itself could be edited before committing, if only a portion of
the invoice needed change.
