While I recognise that you didn't succeed yet, we want to have an installation which is easy and straight forward. Even though we already spent significant time to improve the installation process, we need to do better. Please help us improve by letting us know what problems you run into while trying to get this working.

From this, I conclude you installed mod log sql. That's a module to log to a mysql database. However, due to a configuration problem, the logging can't happen, because the database connection can't be established. The errors below indicate the same. Unfortunately, there is no error which indicates a problem with the least smb installation.
