The results screen for Goods and Services - Reports - Groups displays groups linearly. It would be more effective if they were display hierarchically, perhaps with a tree view. This is something that can be fixed up with a revamp of the UI.
I've also noticed that the dropdown list of parents in the Edit Group screen (displayed when you click on one of the groups shown as links) is populated incorrectly. It contains one option, and that option is the child, not any of the possible parents (one level up).

Yes, you can have the products assigned to a partsgroup and then go through (manually or in the db) and assign them a lower price for a specific period of time.
To do this, simply fill out the start and end dates of the price in the customer field and don't attach it to any customer or pricegroup.
