Hi,

I've installed a completely new LS on to a vanilla Debian squeeze.  I have an error when trying to send out an invoice attached to an email.

'Error!

open |/usr/bin/sendmail -t: No such file or directory at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1/LedgerSMB/Mailer.pm line 220.'

I'm going to do my usual thing with a Debian server and install Postfix - this may well provide the required executable - but any other notes or hints would be gratefully received.

OK - If you install Postfix you get dropin replacements for sendmail put on to the server.  But the sendmail executable for Debian is put into

/usr/sbin/sendmail

So, I'd copied ledgersmb.conf.default to ledgersmb.conf - and now looked into that file.

There's a setting in there called

[mail]
### How to send mail.  The sendmail command is used unless smtphost is set.
sendmail   = /usr/bin/sendmail -t

As you can see  -  it says /usr/bin/sendmail - I changed this to /usr/bin/sendmail and then the server started to send out the mail.

This is a good way as all the mail sending is then handled by a pro level mail server (postfix).

Right - now to look at the Latex issue!
