Don't know if you actually omitted it, but I missed the part where you
chown the LedgerSMB tree user that Apache runs under. In my case (Ubuntu
12.04) this would be:
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /usr/share/ledgersmb
Forgetting this may result in permission problems.
