Hi Ken, I seem to remember something about this, Can you please confirm the version you installed, if it was 1.2.19 you have hit a bug. Current version is 1.2.21 If you would like to join me in IRC channel #ledgersmb I can help you update the required files manually, as it looks like the package is out of date. My IRC nick is sbts If you don't want to join me there I can try and help by email, but it will take quite a bit longer. If you need help setting up IRC let me know Regards David Godfrey
{snip}David and I chatted on IRC earlier it seems I have stumbled on an anomaly in 1.2.19 which has been carried into the RPM installer build.
I'm working in a Redhat rpm/yum based environment. I'm actually using Centos 5.4 which is a clone of RedHat Enterprise Linux v5.4.
I've checked out revision 2988 from SVN earlier today and, based on the source RPM for 1.2.19, I've created a test RPM called ledgersmb-2988-1.noarch.rpm. I've installed that on Centos5.4 and I have a 1.2.21 system working without the bug I was seeing earlier. I also have made some changes after installing the RPM that allows it to run with SELinux enabled. I can put the RPM and its source on line if that's appropriate. It should be possible to create a post install script, to include in the RPM, that runs to set up the database and set the settings required for SELinux.
