New user permissions on 1.2.19 not being saved

Greetings:

I upgraded from Ledgersmb-1.2.18 to 1.2.19 (on Ubuntu-8.04 LTS).  The 
Ledgersmb-1.2.18 works fine.  I installed 1.2.19 in it's own directory 
under "/usr/share" so the original 1.2.18 install is still there (and 
working).

I can start-up 1.2.19 and log-in , however when adding a new user, I 
can't get the Access Control permissions to save.

A new user comes up with all permissions "on" but when I save that user 
a truncated set of permissions come up (like no access to the G/L). 
I've tried using all roles but the Access Control permissions won't save.

Ideas?
