make gave screenfulls of stuff with no errors that I could see.
Next issue:
psql -U postgres -d lsmb_naf -f /home/ledgersmb/sql/coa/us/chart/General.sql
Hmm... Sounds like a documentation problem. Where are you following the instructions from?
