Not quite.

Assemblies are used for light manufacturing and retail bundles.   This
needs further work in 1.4....

Partsgroups are UI devices to help POS systems using touchscreens work
better.  You select the partsgroup, then select the part, then it adds
it to the invoice......

Does this make sense?
