Paypal API payments

Hi guys,

I have a couple of customers that I use recurring transactions to 
invoice that are interested in paying with Credit Cards.

I would like to give them the opportunity by including Paypal "request 
payment" info in the email that gets sent and use IPN (Instant Payment 
Notification) to capture payments - maybe manually applying to 
outstanding invoices.

Also, people get a couple of invoices behind (yes, I know, shocking 
isn't it) and then want to pay it all off with a credit card (usually by 
phone). Here, I would like to use the "direct payment" method with 
Paypal, using IPN again.

Eventually, I would like to set-up a system of recurring payments so 
customers can elect to have their invoice automatically paid (recurring 
fixed monthly) when they are invoiced.

Have anyone integrated Paypal into LedgerSMB? If not, I can give it a whirl.

How are people using the current credit card processing facility to 
handle payments to non-POS invoices?
