i am having a problem logging in once LSMB is installed. i started with
a fresh installation of PostgreSQL 8.3 and did nothing other than follow
the LSMB setup instructions. The software installed is as follows:
PostgreSQL 8.3 (Debian package)
Perl v5.8.8 (Debian package)
Apache 2.2.6 (Debian package)
LedgerSMB 1.2.12 (from source)
Our first PgSQL 8.3 compatibility bug. Please try the latest Session/DB.pm from svn branches/1.2
Best Wishes,
Chris Travers
The error i get on login is:
---------------------
Error!
LedgerSMB/Session/DB.pm:188: Fetch sequence id:
ERROR: function md5(double precision) does not exist
LINE 1: SELECT nextval('session_session_id_seq'), md5(random());

HINT: No function matches the given name and argument types. You might
need to add explicit type casts.

i like the direction that LSMB is heading in and am really anxious to
start using it. i do not want to have to use SQL Ledger as a
substitute, dreading the conversion process that i would have to go
through at a later date to move over to LSMB.
Any help is most appreciated so many thanks in advance.
john
