My system has:

[ebuild   R   ] dev-lang/perl-5.8.8-r2  USE="gdbm -berkdb -build -debug
-doc -ithreads -perlsuid" 0 kB

You need to emerge cpan and install Config::Std and other things using
cpan command line.

For your gentoo manual:
# emerge -v  perl-core/locale-maketext dev-perl/locale-maketext-lexicon
g-cpan 



My problem is, Build test reported several errors, on time reported a
die.....

I can send my log about it if it can help to devs.
