There are several places where the Debian packages have exposed things
in LSMB which, though working for most users, have significant corner
cases.  I think wherever the problem is, the correct place for the fix
is in LSMB.

Before something like 1.3.11, the templates configuration variable was
not recognized and it was hardwired into templates.  We did fix that
