Hi Terence, For quick start, you can get a ready-to-use virtual machine from here: It is a linux based virtual machine, details on the site. It could help you to not lost in installing the package and its dependencies, but start using lsmb itself. One thing, the virtual machine uses DHCP to get IP address on the LAN, so, you should login to the virtual machine to see the valid IP address and you can start using lsmb by visiting the setup.pl So, if you run into trouble, it should be strictly belongs to lsmb itself than windows/linux, whatever. Sorry, I did not install test company, so, visiting setup.pl is the first thing to do. I hope it helps you to test lsmb.
