Re: LedgerSMB 1.4.32 - installation

I got it working doing what I shouldn't be doing. Mint uses official ubuntu repositories. I downloaded the .deb driver/encode/table packages outside of the distro directly from an ubuntu mirror and hacked it. It might be worthwhile to suggest that Mint 18 isn't supported? But yay, it works.

Thank you so much, Robert. To answer your questions:

I installed ledgersmb from the jessie main repo from Mint 18.

I'll admit that I'm not all that familiar with Mint, but I'd understood that it is mainly based on Ubuntu?

If there is also a version directly derived from Debian ('jessie'?), that's one thing.   jessie itself has 1.3.40 (which has issues with the package...).   jessie-backports currently has v1.4.30.   Debian testing has v1.4.32, which is also available on apt.ledgersmb.org.  Ubuntu yakkety also has v1.4.32.   And our lanuchpad  ppa, at https://launchpad.net/~ledgersmb/+archive/ubuntu/main/+packages, as v1.4.32 for 16.04 & 14.04.

Essentially;  it is a good idea to get a 1.4.x version installe to evaluate ledgersmb, but one method  needs to be chosen.
