An email I sent yesterday asking why
companies decided to use LedgerSMB dovetails with this thread.
Getting the word out means identifying what motivates companies to
use it and providing one or more tangible benefits
(i.e., clear differentiator over competitors). I'd like to ask
people on this list to email this thread telling the main reason
they went with LedgerSMB. I'd like to collect responses
(anonymously of course) to determine how best to promote
LedgerSMB.

Perl Dancer is a modern Web Application Framework.
It's powerfull, it's hot.
If a change (which is chosen because of its 'cool' or 'hotness' factor) introduces extra work to affect the change - - its valueless (IMHO).
More people using the software means more people know about it means more developers. There are known issues with LSMB (the large number of challenges in its installation being one!) that make it less than straightforward for anyone to install and use. Make a great product and get the news out and people will come!
