Account management, Delete header

I'm rearranging my accounts, and I came across something that is 
non-obvious.  What is the correct procedure for deleting a heading 
account?  I have deleted all the accounts under the heading, but I don't 
see any way to delete the heading itself, apart from directly tampering 
with the database, which I'd rather not.
