I don't know how much difference it might make but LedgerSMB is
available in Ubuntu now: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ledgersmb.
(And that reminds me again about setting up a test system for that...)

That's the issue I'm seeing in the testing I'm doing.

Is that after the creation of an initial company database user,
which shows up at the end of the conversion process? Or are you getting
that far?
