Running two versions v1.2.17 and v1.3 ? - RESEND

People,

I didn't get a response from the first post, so I thought I would try 
again . . anybody?

I have one company that has a lot of data on v1.2.17 but that company 
has been wound up.  I have a couple of other (non mission critical) 
companies also on v1.2.17 but this data could be easily re-entered in a 
new v1.3 setup but it would be a good exercise to transfer this data to 
a new v1.3 setup.  I am enthusiastic about testing out v1.3 but can I 
run both v1.2.17 and v1.3 on the same machine so that I can look at the 
old data when I need to?
