PDF invoice pain

Hi everyone

I'm going through a fair bit of pain with PDF invoices at the moment -
some invoices when printed to screen as PDFs work fine, others don't
at all. For the ones that don't work, I get error messages dumped to
the browser:

I really need to get to these tex/log files to work out what is going
on - but I can't seem to find where they are generated. Perhaps
ledgersmb deletes them from a working directory of some kind? Any
ideas??
