Re: Fwd: Last Cost - Average Cost

We haven't really modified this area of code yet from the SQL-Ledger code (the rewrite is probably going to be scheduled for 1.4).  However, the last cost field at least should be updated.  If this is not happening please file a bug report and we will get to it as we can.

I do know that some of my SQL-Ledger 2.4 customers are complaining of similar behavior so this is just something that we probably haven't fixed yet.  In general behavior that is identical to SQL-Ledger in the sections of code that we have not yet re-engineered is a lower priority than bugs we introduce ourselves or areas in the new sections of code (primarily because these areas of code are scheduled for a rewrite anyway).  However, bug reports are addressed, so if there is a problem, the best ways to fix it are either to file a bug report and wait for us to fix it or pay aprogrammer on your side to fix it.  I would suspect that if you file a bug report, it will be fixed either of the next two minor releases.

Best Wishes,
Chris Travers

I have spent the last couple of weeks setting up Ledger-SMB for a sales and
importing business that I have just started.  I have been running some
transactions in a test company thats been set up and have some questions

I have notices that when posting vendor invoices for parts, neither the last
cost or average cost in the parts table is updated.

Does LSMB update these fields as part of the goods receiving process and if
so what do I need to do to get this functioning on my system.  If not, is
this likely to be something that is implimented in a future release.

Kind regards,

Wayne Ritchie
