Hi Erik,

I think it would make sense to include the version number.

To go further, if possible I think we should expose that version number within the UI somewhere.
This would allow easy verification of what po file version has a translation issue.
In theory it will be the same as the running ledgersmb instance but a site may have a local set of translation files that haven't been updated.

Since our release process has a high degree of automation, we could actually adjust this quite easily. Do we want to make a change so that we distribute the translations with full version indicator? In that case the line above would become as below for 1.4.26-rc2:

"Project-Id-Version: LedgerSMB 1.4.26-rc2\n"

?
