Re: wxPOS

I've written several wxPython applications, as I'm thoroughly familiar with Python.  LedgerSMB is my first introduction to Perl;  so I'm not sure how much help I can provide.

Thanks.

How far along is development?  i.e., when do you expect to have a production-ready version available?

The wxPOS application was donated to the project some time ago. It hasn't seen active development since. From what I hear, Chris is working on getting something in working shape for a customer of his. However, at this point, it is my personal opinion the project is better served by getting 1.4 tried and tested and out the door than starting full force development of the POS module.

So, basically, I'm not expecting a production ready version any time soon, other than that the people who have donated the code may already be using the POS application in production. If you're interested in being able to offer a POS application, please don't hesitate to coordinate with Chris to distribute the efforts required to make LedgerSMB a compelling POS offering.
