Hi,

If you would like to get the latest release asap, you should try to use the subversion repository.
The fsvs subversion client is easy to use, I recommend it.

I use it with svn, working well. I can test the fix right after the commit. Much quicker to test instead of using prebuilt packages.

Philip is pushing me to get the RPM packages working, given that they
haven't really worked in 1.2 either (as I find out when we are
approaching 1.3).

I may misunderstand him but I think he is mostly making sure I don't forget.

Correct! It was a gentle (but not so subtle) reminder . . I will appreciate the RPM whenever you can manage it. To answer Pongrácz - I want to minimise installations of software that are not done through the package manager - I can do it without the package manager of course (I have been using Linux since the 0.9 kernels) but I am too old to mess around with stuff I shouldn't need to any more . .

Thanks,

Phil.

Best Wishes,
Chris Travers
