Can't Save Preferences

This is an old problem in 1.2, but I'm now running 1.2.21, and it's still here.

   Cannot save preferences!
"

save_preferences looks okay to me with my moderate PERL skill.

Where or what might the problem be?

This was for a preference change on an admin user.

Name same
email changed
signature same (blank)
Phone same
Fax same
Company same (has a comma and a period)
Address changed (123 some str. #1
		city, ST 11111)
All password fields blank
Date format same (mm/dd/yy)
Number format same (1,000.00)
Dropdown limit same (1000)
Menu Width same (155)
Language same (English)
Session timeout same (100000)
Stylesheet same
Printer same (blank)
