Re: Updating request of help

Hi:

About:

'
If these are truely your only steps, then what is libapache2-mod-log-sql doing on your system? These errors suggest you have it, but why? It's completely unrelated to installing LedgerSMB.

The errors:

[Wed Nov 09 08:50:10.807878 2016] [:error] [pid 4792] mod_log_sql: insufficient configuration info to establish database link
[Wed Nov 09 08:50:10.807966 2016] [:error] [pid 4792] mod_log_sql: child spawned but unable to open database link '

It would be because I had other programs running with Apache ? I really don't know when that come (mod_log_sql). How can I remove or solve it to avoid effect into LedgerSMB program ?

About:

' The ledgersmb.conf file I'd like to see is in /usr/share/ledgersmb ', this is the link of that file (It is where you say):

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58767921/LedgerSMB/ledgersmb.conf

About:

' Was the system a clean install when you started working on it? '

Well, I had installed other programs that used Apache, but when I installed LedgerSMB was the first time I've installed it. Tell me please if you need to know the others program that I installed.

About:

' How come your recommends are turned off? '

As I remember, I installed the files (programs or libraries) that Synaptic suggest when I end to install LedgerSMB.

I have other links that could help:

Postgres configuration file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58767921/LedgerSMB/postgresql.conf

I have another file from /var/crash/ledgersmb.0.crash. It think came when the program was updated and try to auto configurate:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58767921/LedgerSMB/Crash%20LedgerSMB%20file.mp4

It is a little .mp4 file because the file ledgersmb.0.crash is big and can't place in a picture. I can't find how to copy to a .txt file (I'm sorry)

I hope in this case this help,

Regards,

Jorge Rodríguez

Hi,

Thank very much you for your help.

I don't know what is : mod_perl process...I only did this steps:

a) Add ppa to my repository (Ubuntu 16.04.1)
b) Did process Update and Upgrade (in terminal) and it update to the version 1.4.33
c) I installed it from Ubuntu repostory (with Synaptic). I can say what kid of programs installed Ubuntu for LedgerSMB (In this case mod_perl)
d) I run http://localhost/ledgersmb/setup.pl on the browser and got the problem that I comment before (My last e-mail)
e) Other day I did again the process Update and Upgrade as before (Point b) and it update to the versión 1.4.34
f) I run http://localhost/ledgersmb/setup.pl again and got the same problem already commented.

> [Wed Nov 09 08:50:10.807966 2016] [:error] [pid 4792] mod_log_sql: child spawned but unable to open database link

Checking out the content of the 'ledgersmb.conf' file, on this url: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58767921/LedgerSMB/ledgersmb.conf
it's not the ledgersmb.conf I would be talking about. The ledgersmb.conf file I'd like to see is in /usr/share/ledgersmb (or at least symlinked to there).

I'm afraid the other information you've provided so far doesn't indicate why setup.pl would crash or simply return "nothing" (usually, crashing is *the* reason to return nothing).

Is there anything you can tell us about your system that can be of influence? Was the system a clean install when you started working on it? How come your recommends are turned off? Answers to that kind of thing.

Kind regards,
