Re: Firefox or Apache isn't running login.pl?

That didn't do it. It did turn out to be an issue with Apache, so to
some extent I suppose it wasn't a problem with LedgerSMB per se -- the
security settings for LedgerSMB were tight, and as a brand-new Apache
user I didn't understand that I needed to set the originating IP address
range to match my internal network (127.0.0.1 did NOT work!).

(Fortunately my son was born to be a systems operator -- I showed him my
problem just to share my frustration, and about three hours later he had
the problem solved for me. Now I just need to convince him to actually
claim his hours as paying work.)

If there is a "getting started from rock bottom" tutorial in LedgerSMB I
didn't find it. It would be nice if someone could make one, including
how to make it work from Apache -- I don't feel that I'm the right
person, because when it comes to Apache and LedgerSMB I should be
treated with all the caution of a hyperactive three year old in a room
full of loaded guns.
