     Should be;  doing test conversions only on copies of the v1.2
database can be useful, of course...

     There is another consideration, which depends on the version of Postgresql
you're now running.  There is a new (with v1.3) 'contrib_dir' setting
in the /etc/ledgersmb/ledgersmb.conf, which is related to the
postgresql-contrib package needed for your version of postgresql, &
that is needed to some functionality in setup.pl.
