I need cash accounting values for my report to the Ministry of Social
Development, and I need Accrual values for my report to Canada Revenue
Agency.

But right now I can't get the right report for either, as I'm
doing over payments, which are not showing up in any report correctly,
I have to manually collect the numbers from several places, including
AR, AP, and the General Ledger.  Is there an easier way to get what
I'm needing? I need payments as well as invoices.  It becomes
cumbersome the way I've been doing things.

Overpayments may be a little tricky here but check out the report_framework add on for 1.3.  It is a backport of the 1.4 reporting framework.  I think it will still count overpayments improperly because in 1.3 there is no income account attached to them (nor is there one in 1.4 either but we can figure out something easier there).  However, I think we can come up with a way to address that with an SQL query.
