I'm trying to get back to these PR's so they can be merged, hopefully it
will happen this week.
Once they are all merged, you chould be able to run Sysconfig.pm with
one argument to generate a default config file (although this won't be
strictly necessary any more as the defaults will be used even without a
config file.)

You will also be able to run Sysconfig with a number of other options to
create a "minimal" default config file that contains the Items that
should be overridden for a common install, and also pass any option in
on the command line.

I'll email you / catch you on IRC when the PR's are available so you can
have a quick look and offer any suggestions before they get merged.
