In the old 1.2 vintage LSMB database there was 'vendornumber' which suited this purpose. In the current scheme where a vendor is simply a classification of Entity is doesn't appear that there is really an equivalent column. Is there something I'm missing?

To identify an entity use entity.control_code but note an entity can have multiple customer or vendor accounts.

To identify a vendor account or customer account,  use entry_credit_account.meta_number
